Children of women infected with Covid do not have a brain disease, research says

This was revealed in a new medical study

In pregnant women experiencing mild to moderate severity of Covid19, the disease has no adverse effects on the development of the baby's brain.

This was revealed in a medical study conducted in Germany.

It's been 2 years since the cod epidemic, but little is known about its effects on pregnant women's babies.

The study, conducted by Maximilian University in Ljubljana, found that women infected with COD 19 during pregnancy had concerns that the disease could affect their baby's development, as in some other viral infections.

The researchers said that so far only a few cases of mother-to-child transmission of the virus have been reported, but the real risks and effects are not clear. Our research was aimed at filling this gap.

For this purpose, MRI tests were performed on the babies of 33 women infected with Covid19 during pregnancy.

These women were on average 28 weeks pregnant and had a general lack of sense of smell or taste, dry cough, fever, and difficulty breathing.

The study found that the disease had no adverse effects on the brains of babies in the womb.

The researchers said that in the study, they did not find any evidence that the mother's illness had any effect on the child's brain development, which would bring relief to the affected women.

But he also said that the study was performed on women with mild to moderate severity of illness and that the effects on the children of more ill women have not yet been examined. There will be time

"At the moment, vaccination is the best way to protect against code 19. Minor side effects can be controlled, which is why we recommend that pregnant women be vaccinated," she said.

Now, these experts are planning to continue monitoring these women for the next 5 years while the health and mental development of the children will also be examined.

The results of this study have not yet been published in any medical journal but were presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.
